It’s been described as the film the food industry doesn’t want people to see but we at SociaLifeChicago definitely want you to see it. “Fed Up” examines the influence of the food industry on government policy, and in turn on public health.

The documentary details how, since the U.S. government issued its first dietary guidelines 30 years ago, the rate of obesity has skyrocketed. Generations of kids will live shorter lives than their parents.
Abes Market is sponsoring the screening of the Katie Couric & Laurie David produced documentary directed by Stephanie Soechtig . The screening will take place at Landmark Theatre on Friday May 23 at 7:10pm. Following the screening there will be a brief panel discussion thereafter.
