CHICAGO GOURMET
It was a gorgeous sunny weekend for the 6th annual Chicago Gourmet which took place under the glistening sun at Millenium park for a sold out Saturday and Sunday event.
They came to eat, drink, be merry and make the scene at Bon Appétit presents Chicago Gourmet by Southern Wine & Spirits of America. If you follow us on INSTAGRAM, TWITTER & FACEBOOK you saw many of the photo posts and updates.
Guests had a lot to choose from and so much to do in a span of 6 hours. From live demonstrations at the bon appetit mainStage, different chef tasting pavilions where some had long lines but the wine and drinks surely helped to wait through, seminars and those that needed a break from it all sat down to eat and enjoy the music thanks to DJ Megan Taylor.
We spotted some familiar faces including Patrice aka Afrobella and her husband Steve and her friends, Audarshia Townsend, Ari Bendersky, Chef Graham Elliot with his wife and he was looking trim and on daddy duty.
The pavilions included food from Gibsons restaurant group-whose sliders were so popular they ran out, Tavernita, Henri, Allium, ZED451-those brownie smores, embeya, terzo piano and many many many more great Chicago restaurants.
The Grand CRU, Presented by The Private Client Reserve of U.S. Bank, which featured some of the best wineries including Far Niente, Champagne Laurent-Perrier, Louis Latour, Heitz, Glenmorangie, Terlato Wines to name a few. Even with tasting pours, walking through Grand Cru alone and stopping by most of the booths left some guests very happy happy campers.
Chicago Gourmet welcomed over 1000 people and looking forward to it next year!
