WALK 2014-The Party

As guests were ushered to their seats, the show began with the best introduction, EVER! Nick Cave led a rousing performance with the sound suits.

This is the first time he’s performed this in Chicago (outside of Ikram’s invite only 10year anniversary party). The performance also included the “horses” from his Creative Time commissioned piece in New York City’s grand central station last year. AHMAZING!

Following the fashion presentation, guests went upstairs for the strolling dinner and continued libations. The young designers at this point had the opportunity to walk with their models and meet the guests and potential new clients. We spied a few pieces that were already being coveted by the fashionable guests in attendance.

The DJ spun an eclectic playlist where at one point some of the guests gathered in a dancing circle for a vogue off, werk!

This is one of the best parties of the season, actually the year and at the heart of it is a fundraiser and opportunity to support next generation of designers and visual creators.
