Thursday evening I was a busy bee attending two events on two extreme ends of each other. Earlier in the week, I heard about the upcoming Fader+Vitamin Water uncapped event. I seemed so sure of the lineup based on the launch party in LA: Santigold, Wale, Rick Ross and some surprise guests. I was so excited to see Santi and Rick Ross perform that I mustered up energy after the IL Eye Bank ‘Posh night at Annabel’s’ event(post to follow) that same night and went. Color me disappointed as I got there right when Santigold was wrapping up her set and was told there would be no Rick Ross. First reaction looked like something out of a soyeaduh post. I stuck around for Wale’s set but left before he brought out R&B singer Melanie Fiona-really?!. Some of the familiar faces making the scene were: Kevin Aeh, Andrew Barber, Terrence “Hustlesimmons” Randolph, Briahna Gatlin,Autumn and Brian Merrit,Marc Moran even Chef Roblé of Bravo TV’s Chef Roblé & Co who was in town that week stopped by to catch the performance.
The drinks were flowing(vitamin water that is) as guests lined up to take pictures in the vitaminwater uncapped photobooth. The party seems like a precursor to the upcoming summer festival fun and also the different kind of fashion to expect from these Chicagoans.
