Friday night (2/19), about 400 guests attended the sold out Ignite 2016 fundraiser hosted by United Way’s Young Leaders Society at Nellcôte.

The Westloop boîte teemed with young professionals looking to let their hair down after a long week, eating and mingling, while raising funds that will benefit Chicago’s most at-risk neighborhoods through the work of the United Way of of Metropolitan Chicago in the community.
Even though we had above average temps earlier that day, the Chicago winter returned that evening and guests arrived bundled up, but once they shed the outerwear at coat check, it was cocktail dresses and suits galore.

Guests were greeted with glasses of wine and champagne if they didn’t want to saddle up to the bar for a beverage. Between the passed apps and viewing of silent auction items, guests posed for our photos and Photo Booth action before the events chairs took the spotlight to thank sponsors and address those in attendance.
Once the “business” portion of the night was done, the Selner Brothers entertained guests all night, at least til 11 when the event ended. YLS‘s more than 1,000 active member donors age 40 years and younger are committed young professionals on a mission to encourage philanthropy and volunteerism amongst their peers and to create a vibrant region in which to live, learn, work and prosper for all Chicagoans. YLS Chicago’s 2016 Executive Chair is Will Darley.
