On Saturday April 17, UNICEF’s Midwest Regional Office hosted their 8th annual Hope Gala at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago. Co-chaired by Bill Dietz and Miller Vance, the evening raised $1.2 million to support The Eliminate Project, UNICEF’s global campaign in partnership with Kiwanis International to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT).
The main gala, consisted of an evening filled with dinner, music from Chicago Children’s Choir and keynote speech by Cara Yar Khan, who was diagnosed with hereditary inclusion body myopathy in 2007. Guests in attendance included BDT Capital’s Byron Trott and wife Tina Trott-committee member, Rotary International General Secretary John Hewko and Marka Hewko, Natacha Julmy and Camille Julmy- Board Emeriti of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, Stephanie Harris, Trisha Rooney Alden and many more.



Chicago Auctioneer Vinnie Zaffarano led the live auction for packages like a Madame Secretary set visit where two guests will tour the set, and meet Téa Leoni, a trip for two to New York Fashion Week in September 2015, two VIP tickets to a Chicago Cubs game and more.

Following the dinner and auction, the night continued with the after party, hosted by UNICEF’S Next Generation Chicago Steering Committee and co-chaired by Lisey Waters and Jeff Feste.
