• The University of Chicago, up against several other institutions-University of Illinois at Chicago as well as Columbia University in New York in bidding for the Obama Presidential Library, will be announced as the winning academic institution. David Wildstein, a former Port Authority official and ally of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is expected to plead guilty to charges stemming from the 16-month federal investigation into the George Washington Bridge lane closings, a scandal which may derail Christie’s chance of running for president, should he choose to. Other indictments in the case are expected from U.S attorney for New Jersey, Paul J. Fishman. [NY TIMES]

Students in Burundi, located in Southeast Africa, who have been protesting since Sunday over the government’s shutdown of University of Burundi are now seeking refuge outside the U.S. embassy in the capital Bujumbura. President Pierre Nkurunziza’s decision to seek a third term also stoked the flames for the protests. “The crisis is being closely watched in a region still scarred by the 1994 genocide that killed more than 800,000 people in neighboring Rwanda, which like Burundi is divided between ethnic Tutsis and Hutus.” [REUTERS]

For the 7th pick, the Chicago Bears select…Kevin White, Wide Receiver West Virginia! The NFL Draft last night (here in Chicago!!!) had a few surprise picks with the Jets taking USC’s Leonard Williams and Lael Collins failing to be drafted in the first roun. As predicted Jameis Winston was drafted first by the Buccaneers and Marcus Mariota went to the Tennessee Titans. The Bears’ pick is “a big receiver at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds with a 40-tar time of 4.35.” [ESPN]

• Tesla debuted new stackable battery systems to store electricity for homes, businesses and the grid. Th power wall version costs $3,500 for a 10-kilowatt-hour and available for pre-order now. Tesla founder Elon Musk said “Our goal here is to fundamentally change the way the world uses energy.” [BLOOMBERG]

What’s your real age? A new face-recognition application programming interface from Microsoft, that guesses your age based on uploaded images. Uploaded celebrity images revealed a few things. Helen Mirren(69) was pegged at 55; Sofia Vergara(42) pegged at 29; Cindy Crawford(45) got 40 on the app; Khloe Kardashian(30) got 44. They are improving the features.

The 2015 Billboard Latin Music Awards took place last night in Miami, airing live on Telemundo, with Jennifer Lopez paying tribute to singer Selena Quintanilla in 3 costume changes. Award winners include Romeo Santos, Enrique Iglesias, Marc Anthony. The Spirit of Hope award and Lifetime Achievement Award were given to Carlos Santana and Roberto Carlos, respectively. [BILLBOARD]

• Giorgio Armani celebrating his brands 40 years anniversary made it a hollywood event with guests Cate Blanchett, Leonardo di Caprio, Hilary Swank, Glenn Close, Aishwarya Rai, Chris Pine, Lauren Hutton Armani, Pierce Brosnan in attendance. Armani revealed his Silos exhibition space and museum which coincides with the beginning of Milan International Expo 2015. Guests then walked across the road to the Armani theater to take in a selection of around 160 looks from the designer’s Privé collections over the years. [WWD]

Louis Vuitton cannot trademark the checker board Damier pattern as its own; a ruling the European Union’s General Court upheld from a previous ruling by the First Board of Appeal of the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM).
