Event:LYRIC OPERA OPENING OPERA BALL

The scoop: Co-chaired by Nancy Crown and Caryn Harris, the The Women’s Board of the Lyric Opera of Chicago hosted the 61st annual Opening Night Gala that raised $1.1 million for the Lyric’s philanthropic initiatives. Chicago notables in attendance included: Nancy and Steven Crown, Caryn and King Harris, Eric and Kim Smith, Mamie and Greg Case, Mark E. Ferguson and Elizabeth B. Yntema, Richard P. and Susan Kiphart, Peggy and Jack Crowe, Nikola Mirotić (Chicago Bulls) and Nina Vujačić. Lyric’s General Director, Anthony Freud, presented the evening’s opera stars to the sound of heralding trumpets as part of the traditional Grand March. After dinner, dancing followed with music provided by the Stu Hirsh Orchestra.

Event:JASON PETERSON HELICOPTER PHOTOGRAPHY

Where: Soho House Chicago
The scoop: Photographer and CCO of Havas Jason Peterson took a few lucky soho house members on a helicopter ride to view the Chicago skyline and take some shots while other guests were able to see the lesson on the rooftop at Soho House in real time via Periscope.
