ABOUT: Prince Rogers Nelson was born into this world on June 7th, 1958. He would have turned 58 years old this year. In his honor, we are throwing a party.

Portions of the proceeds benefit the Music Forward Foundation which focuses on investing in music programs in underserved communities.

Siskel Film Center will have Steve van Osdale, a member of the camera crew on PURPLE RAIN and other Prince projects, to provide a unique behind-the-scenes perspective on the making of the film. The discussion will be moderated by Steve Prokopy, film critic for Ain’t It Cool News and Third Coast Review. To celebrate Prince’s life and music, everyone who attends PURPLE RAIN will receive a mini cupcake with purple icing provided by Brown Sugar Bakery and all are invited to a post-screening dance party in our Gallery/Cafe, hosted by Chicago’s own DJ I.N.C.

EVENT: SPiN Dating

ABOUT: The Chicago Arts District hosts 2nd Fridays Gallery Night, the monthly opening receptions at the galleries and artists’ studios centered around South Halsted and 18th Streets in Chicago.

EVENT: Hubbard Street Dance Chicago Spotlight Ball

ABOUT: Hubbard Street Dance Chicago teams up with The Second City to bring you a night full of laughs and luxury. There will be performances, a live auction, and a sit down dinner. Andrew Alexander, CEO/Executive Producer of The Second City, will serve as Honorary Chair.
