EVENT: Art Institute Auxiliary Board Gala
What: Nothing will be the same as it is after this highly anticipated evening celebrating 40years of one of the oldest aux boards in the nation and opening of the new Magritte exhibit. Nothing Is As It Appears: The Auxiliary Board’s 40th Anniversary Masked Ball

Why: The event is sponsored by jewelry company Buccellati. If you can’t swing the gala, come to the after party. An eyes wide shut type experience with DJ Madrid spinning.
EVENT: An Afternoon with Cameron Silver of Decades
What: The Costume Council of the Chicago History Museum luncheon eaturing special guest Cameron Silver from the acclaimed LA vintage boutique Decades.
Where: Four Seasons Chicago
When: October 11
Time: 6-8PM
Cost: Tickets are $200, and include a copy of Decades: A Century of Fashion. Patron tickets for $350 are also available, and include a private champagne reception with Cameron.
EVENT: DECADES at space519
What: LA’s go to spot for the very best in gently used designer couture is back in Chicago with more shoes (many never worn), more handbags (they know the chicago ladies love chanel), more dresses (think the world’s chicest designers), and more gowns (many of which have been to the world’s best events).

EVENT: Chicago Marathon
What: The Chicago Marathon is back and hopefully there won’t be any weather issues and all runners will have a safe run and break records.

When: Sunday October 13
Time: Starts 7:30am
Why: Check out the running route HERE and come out and cheer on the runners. Most are running to check off a bucket list, some are doing it to raise money for their beloved charity. Whatever the reason let’s get out there and cheer them on but please no Kramer though, they have water stations for that.
