Siskel Film Center Toasts The Oscars

Sunday night, while some were glued to the TV dissecting Alicia Vikander’s yellow Belle from Beauty and the Beast dress or why Ryan Seacrest never looks tired though he has a bajillion jobs, some Chicagoans were getting their star treatment fun on at the Siskel Film Center’s Hollywood on State: Where you’re the star Oscars viewing party. This year’s event, co-chaired by Eda Davidman and Chuck Droege, was co-hosted by designers Kate Pankoke and Tommy Walton. The two, who have appeared on TV shows, Project Runway and Masterchef respectively, also served as red carpet hosts.

Guests were given the red carpet treatment as they arrived getting their photos taken with the Siskel Film Center backdrop or if they wanted something a bit more loose they took part in the Foto Favors booth with their friends. We spied Jimmy Choos, Giuseppe Zanotti, Monique Lhuillier, Self Portrait, Creatures of The Wind worn by some of the guests in attendance.

Untitled, Eno wine, Michael Jordan steakhouses, Raison d’Etre were some of the restaurants that provided bites for guests. Since this was also a fundraiser for the Siskel Film center there were some silent auction packages including a Jimmy choo clutch paired with an Hermès tie and scarf, Whitesox and Blackhawks tickets, City Winery wine tour and more, on had for guests to bid on. Spotted on the scene were Dr. Walter and Shirley Massey, Ellen and Richard Sandor, Melissa Sage Fadim and Jamey Fadim, Eda Davidman with daughter Logan, Maggie Baczkowski to name a few.
