The annual Bank of America Chicago Marathon, taking place Sunday, October 9, is less than a month away and I’m sure the dedicated runners training to tackle the 26.2 miles are still hard at work training. If you’re training for the 2022 Bank of America Chicago Marathon or just you know not, you can join trainer Gideon Akande aka @getfitwithgiddy as he partners with Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk (301 E North Water Street, Chicago) for a weekly run club, pre and post-event runs and a Finish Line Fest. Starting on September 14 through October 5, Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk will host the weekly Run for the Race every Wednesday at 6:30 a.m. The running club’s complimentary 30-minute fun runs with Gideon will provide an opportunity to establish and build a community leading up to the marathon.
The day before the marathon on Saturday, October 8, at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m., the hotel will host Sheraton Shakeout, a 30-minute fun run with Gideon encourages travelers to shake out their legs after their travels to Chicago.
Finish Line Fest will take place on the day of the 2022 Bank of America Chicago Marathon, Sunday October 9. Starting at 1 p.m. this will be the perfect celebration to cap the marathon, featuring vendors with massage equipment to to loosen those legs, delicious food and refreshing beverages, stretch sessions, family-friendly fun and a raffle. The cost per person will be $10 for early birds that purchase a the Finish Line Fest ticket prior to October 2, and $20 the week of the event; here to purchase tickets.
If you still have a little left in the tank, come out Monday, October 10, at 9 a.m. for a recovery run as they host a final Riverwalk Run.
