Rihanna’s LVMH FENTY Fashion Line Unveiled at Paris Pop-up

Rihanna’s highly anticipated fashion line FENTY with LVMH,  the first fashion brand, will be available for purchase starting May 24 at its Paris pop-up until June 2 but it will bow online starting May 29. We’ve already gotten a look at the line, which the brand’s creative director modeled first in New York Times’ T magazine but she’s actually been wearing it in different instances for about a year now as caught through the paps lenses.

“Women are forces of this earth. We are multifaceted, complex, vulnerable yet bulletproof, and FENTY speaks to all of our intricacies. Some days I want to be submissive, many days I’m completely in charge and most days I feel like being both….so it was imperative that we created a line versatile enough to embrace and celebrate us in that way. The collections are easily worn together and meant to be staples in our wardrobe. I’m just hyped to see people in my clothes, man,”

The pop-up’s cocktail party celebration of the historic venture was held in a store in Paris’ Marais district where LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault was holding court alongside founder CEO and Artistic Director of FENTY Robyn Rihanna Fenty, as well as fashion heavy weights Oliver Rousteing (Balmain), Maria Grazia Chiuri (Dior), Simon Porte Jacquemus (Jacquemus), Kris Van Assche, Vogue UK EIC Edward Enninful, fashion influencers and editors.

FENTY fashion follows Fenty Beauty, the existing joint venture in cosmetics with LVMH. Fenty which will feature a full range of clothing, shoes and accessories will be priced between €200 to €1,100, slightly lower priced in contrast to other LVMH brand products. 

The fashion line is reflecting of Rihanna’s own style, her character, and experiences, FENTY seeks to empower customers, transforming their attitude through the clothes and silhouettes like structured lines, white or beige jackets with wide shoulders or blazer dresses wrapping the body. Rihanna’s attitude, her ethos, and spirit infuse all the brand’s offerings from ready-to-wear, footwear, accessories, and eyewear.

FENTY is a distinct new identity, luxury brand for the 21st century. A new relationship between Rihanna and LVMH that epitomizes both the spirit of Rihanna and a new approach to modern luxury: agile and dynamic; elevated yet egalitarian; bold, free, fearless. Inspired by a worldwide community beyond traditional boundaries, FENTY embraces a fundamental freedom: a freedom from convention and rules. This marks a new evolution in luxury – created from simple yet elevated materials, engineered with a modern take on classic silhouettes. FENTY will operate outside of the traditional seasonal fashion schedule, retailing via multiple incremental releases on a “See-Now-Wear-Now” model dropping about every six to eight weeks. Each of the releases, focused on a specific selection of product, will express a new facet of a woman and her wardrobe.

 

FENTY will operate from a digital flagship. Releases will be supported by ephemeral boutiques – a unique experience for both a physical and digital audience. Releases will include special-edition pieces, available for limited timeframes, and core items.
