16th Annual Women of Concern Awards Luncheon, held on Friday, February 28, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. The luncheon honored Marie Tillman, President & Co-Founder of the Pat Tillman Foundation, with the 2014 Leadership Award. Susan Walsh, Founder and President of Little by Little, was honored with the 2014 Humanitarian Award for outstanding humanitarian and philanthropic leadership. There were 450 guests in attendance and more than $280,000 was raised for Concern Worldwide U.S., the international humanitarian organization.

CIRCA, hosted a special Client Appreciation Event at the Chicago History Museum on Monday, March 10th. More than 70 guests joined the brand for champagne, cocktails, a presentation by Ebony Fashion Fair exhibit curator, Joy Bivins concluding with a private viewing of the Ebony Fashion Fair exhibit.

Chicago Lights’ annual winter gala, Carnaval – the nonprofit organization’s largest fundraiser to benefit Chicago’s children, youth and adults who face the challenges of poverty – raised a record-breaking $450,000 this year. More than 500 guests attended the event at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel on Feb. 28.
We were absolutely thrilled to celebrate alongside our supporters as we reached this milestone,” said Katy Frey Bever, Director of Development for Chicago Lights. “The evening’s results highlight the commitment of the community to our work and we couldn’t be more grateful.”

Guests at Carnaval were treated to an evening of complimentary cocktails, dancing to live music from the Ken Arlen Orchestra; a seated dinner and dessert; a mystery wine sale; and a silent and live auction emceed by ABC7’s own Ron Magers featuring unique experiences, getaways, entertainment and more.
