**UPDATE** Argent IS taking over the Aja at the Dana Hotel space and they are targeting a May 1 opening. Chef Rodelio Aglibot will be the Culinary Director.
Saturday night I hightailed it to Lake Bluff, a northshore suburb about 45mins from the city, to the launch of McLaren Chicago. The location has been chosen as the Midwest region retailer of these super awesome luxury sports cars. (Formula One racer Lewis Hamilton currently drives for the McLaren racing team). As guests walked in, they were welcomed by the sight of the yellow MP4-12C which I’m told retails for over $200,000- NBD!
The Mancuso family have the distinct honor of being involved with this esteemed brand. Among guests in attendance were family, friends and supporters of the family as well as McLaren customers. It was really eye opening seeing guys gawk at and talk in such technical terms about the car; some guests even had the opportunity to sit in it. The car is very gorgeous.
Chef Rodelio Aglibot, formerly of Sunda was also there since Argent(which may or may not be taking over the Aja space at Dana hotel) provided food for the party. So glad too have this dealership added to the Chicago luxury car scene especially with a lot of international guests, some with deep pockets, expected in the coming months to the city.
