More than 260 of Chicago’s young philanthropists including board members (past & present) and friends of the Lookingglass Theatre’s Junior Board gathered the evening of Saturday, August 29 to celebrate their 2015 Madhatter’s Martime Ball. The event, co-chaired by Kathryn McMahon and Jameson LaMarca, was held for the first time ever at the Water Tower Water Works on Michigan Avenue and raised more than $59,000.

Education Department Founder David Kersnar and Lookingglass Theatre’s Master Teacher Thomas J. Cox were presented with awards recognizing their outstanding work.
“Guests had the chance to participate in the below-deck Sideshow Theatre Gambling Parlor and bid on a host of exciting auction prizes, including concert tickets for Janet Jackson and Ariana Grande, a signed hockey stick by Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson, a signed baseball by Chicago White Sox Manager Ray Ventura, and more. Guest could also purchase raffle tickets for an all-expense paid trip for two to see Madonna at Madison Square Garden.”
Funds raised support the operation and expansion of Lookingglass’ acclaimed education and community programs, which encourage self-esteem and creativity in thousands of students every year.”
