For all the ladies and guys out there single and lamenting over the prospect of enduring this winter without a partner, there’s a sliver of good news! Illinois is one of the top 10 states with the most educated and most eligible men. This according to a study by DateWhoYouWant. The bigger question here though is, where are they hiding?!?!
For the first time in American history, women outpace men in acquiring college and post-graduate degrees. According to the 2010 Census, among adults 25 and older, 10.6 million U.S. women have master’s degrees or higher, compared to 10.5 million men. When it comes to finishing college, roughly 20.1 million women have bachelor’s degrees, compared to nearly 18.7 million men — a gap of more than 1.4 million.
DateWhoYouWant.com, a subsidiary of InterracialDating.com recently gathered information(an informal survey of 1,000 singles) from one million members of their database, revealing which states had the highest concentration of college-educated single men who were open to interracial and intercultural relationships. Those states are California, New York, Texas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and New Jersey. 70 percent said they would move to another state in hopes of better love prospects.
Would you move across state(and race) lines to find a partner?
