Ok ok, so getting arms like Lupita Nyong’o may be a bit of a stretch unless you’re super dedicated and genetically blessed as she is just beyond flawless, but as temps begin to warm up and #summertimechi is just a few weeks(months) away it’s time to start getting that body right.

We asked one of our favorite trainers here in Chicago Jeremy Walton at Shred415 to share some tips on how to get sculpted, enviable arms like Lupita.
A quick story on why Jeremy is just awesome! I first met Jeremy while he was at David Barton gym. His class was always early but always packed with a wait list and competitive type A’s. The first class I took and loved upon joining dbg was shredded and I was hooked! Jeremy has since moved on to Shred415 and he is even more awesome there. The great thing about Jeremy is that he’s humble but also really motivational. Sweating through a 45/60 minute rigorous class is never easy but he makes you challenge yourself and never quit til you’re done. Highly recommend you signing up for one of his class, your body will thank you for it.
Here are the excercises he suggests for Lupita like arms
Make sure that if at any point you feel dizzy or light headed to stop. If you feel any pain in the shoulders, neck, or back to stop.
For each exercise, do them back to back for a total of 3-4 sets depending on your fitness level.
Standing band tricep x 15 reps on each arm


Bent over lat raise x 15 reps total


tricep dip x 15 reps


side plank fly x 15 reps on each side
