• A key element of Starbucks’ initiative to stimulate discussion of race has ended as of Sunday and associates would no longer be asked to write “Race Together,” or place similar stickers on cups given to customers. Race Together saw it’s share of criticism. [WSJ]

• The man who led Singapore’s separation from Malaysia taking it from a third world country to one of world’s leading wealth management centers, as well as it’s longest serving Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew has died. [REUTERS]
• A sharp increase in pollution affecting Paris and other cities in northern France has French authorities clamping down on drivers and imposing car restrictions. Only motorists with odd-numbered plates will be allowed to drive with exceptions for electric or hybrid vehicles as well as emergency vehicles; Public transportation will be free as well car-sharing and bike-sharing programs. • Tenet, the third-biggest publicly traded hospital chain, will pay about $425 million in cash to Welsh Carson Tenet to form outpatient surgical venture. Tenet will contribute 44 freestanding surgery centers and 20 imaging locations, Welsh will add 202 ambulatory surgery centers and 16 surgical hospitals. Tenet’s Chicago area hospitals are: Weiss (Louis A.) Memorial, Westlake, West Suburban and MacNeal hospitals. [BLOOMBERG]

• Young Money! The gallery of Sotheby’s Contemporary Art Department, S|2, has recruited rapper Drake as a curator to “explore the dialogue between music and art.” Drake will choose songs to go with each work by the likes of Jean-Michel Basquiat, Glenn Ligon, Kara Walker, Nick Cave, Rashid Johnson, Wangechi Mutu, David Hammons and Kehinde Wiley to be heard at listening stations around the gallery. • J. Crew’s sales at its stores open more than a year fell 2 percent in 2014 and revenue decreased slightly to $620.7 million with comparable sales sliding 5 percent during the holiday quarter. CEO Mickey Drexler said one of biggest problem was that J. Crew filled its stores with clothes that women really just weren’t into. J. Crew is betting that the way to get ahead of the pack is not with new marketing tactics or store designs, but to simply make better, more appealing clothes.[WASHINGTON POST]
