• Chicago native Hannibal Buress will premiere his new Comedy Central series, “Why? With Hannibal Buress,” offering his perspective on whatever’s going on in the world will mix stand-up with sketches, interviews and man-on-the-street bits. You’ll remember it was partially due to his standup act the Bill Cosby sexual assault allegations came back to life. [WASHINGTON POST]
• Coalition for Safe Chicago Communities filed a lawsuit in Cook County suing Lyons, Riverdale and Lincolnwood for their weak oversight of gun shops that has allowed criminals to easily obtain weapons flowing into the city. Members of the group pointed to a Chicago Police Department study that showed that between 2009 and 2013, 2,000 guns sold in the stores in Riverdale and Lyons were used in crimes.

• 12-year-old Jarrell Milton of Nebraska who was wanted for murder in a gang-related shooting in Omaha has been arrested 400 miles away. Milton, his older brother Jamar E. Milton (17) and Shuntayvious Primes-Willis(15) tried to rob the two men they were trying to sell marijuana to, then one or all three opened fire killing one of the men. [NY DAILY NEWS]
• Few days after Donald Trump made his vile comments on immigrants, an innocent bystander was shot in San Francisco by laborer with a lengthy criminal record Juan Francisco Lopez Sanchez who has plead not guilty in the murder of Kathryn Steinle, 32 now reports state the gun used was that of a federal agents. This is the latest twist in this case where it’s been revealed his criminal record includes seven felony convictions, has been deported from the United States five times and some are placing blame on a San Francisco ordinance, passed in 2013, that broadly restricts the police from cooperating with immigration agents. • The London Underground almost 20,000 staff may strike which may bring the world’s oldest subway system to a halt and its expected to continue into Friday when a “last-minute offer failed to clinch a deal between London Underground and The Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT), Aslef, Transport Salaried Staffs Association and Unite.” [GULF NEWS]
SPORTS
• The NFL in the United Kingdom will continue and play at least two regular-season games each season at Premier League club Tottenham’s new London stadium over a 10-year period per a new deal that was recently inked. The NFL currently has two years remaining on its deal with Wembley Stadium. [USA TODAY]

• Barclay’s CEO Antony Jenkins is out as the company neeeds “a new set of skills” for the financial challenges facing the London-based banking giant.
• Though Greece has been given reprieve and it has until Sunday to submit a proposal for sweeping reforms in return for loans that will keep the country from crashing, China’s having it worse as “at least 1,331 companies have halted trading on China’s mainland exchanges, freezing $2.6 trillion of shares, or about 40 percent of the country’s market value.” The markets are falling as fast as a Six Flags roller coaster. According to Bloomberg, government support measures failed to allay concern that margin trades will keep unwinding at a record pace. [BLOOMBERG]

• Though he came into the spotlight after losing a whole bunch of lbs on the “subway diet” Jared Fogle is getting the wrong kind of attention after FBI agents raided his home outside Indianapolis while conducting a child pornography investigation. Subway and children’s health charity CATCH have cut all ties with the sandwich pitch man. Russel Taylor, the former director of Fogle’s charity foundation was arrested in April for possessing and producing child porn. Investigators reportedly found more than 500 videos in Taylor’s home. First up Lancome celebrated it’s 80th anniversary with ambassadors Julia Roberts, Penelope Cruz, Kate Winslet, Lupita Nyong’o, Lily Collins Daria Werbowy, Alma Jodorowsky and Isabella Rossellini with performance from Kylie Minogue. Tory Burch launching her brand’s new Paris flagship store on Rue Saint-Honoré hosted a Q-Tip dj-ed Lauryn Hill headlining Moroccan-themed garden party at Hôtel de Sully with her man Pierre-Yves Roussel, chief executive of LVMH’s Fashion Division. Bulgari feted guests like Amber Heard, Juliette Binoche, Michelle Rodriguez,Jon Kortajarena MAC Cosmetics and Giambattista Valli toasted their collaboration at the Opéra Garnier Monday night. [WWD]
