Trump’s Taxes. That was the bombshell report over the weekend that’s still being unwrapped and unpacked. New York Times published the story Saturday evening which examined a tax report of Donald Trump’s from 1995 which shows he took a loss of about $915 million, this sum would have allowed him to avoid paying taxes for up to 18 years according to the report. After speaking with multiple sources, verification from tax experts and the person who prepared that specific filing they decided to publish the story. Trump has refused to release his tax returns citing being under IRS audit. The Trump campaign is now on the offensive. • Chicago Public school teachers will strike Oct. 11 if some of their contract talk demands are not met but they might not be too happy to hear that 2 Wall Street companies, J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and Nuveen Asset Management made $110 million profit from $763 million in bonds purchased this year. It’s like a larger scale payday loan type situation. CPS needed money and back in February they struggled to sell municipal bonds. J.P. Morgan, made a 9.5% profit on $150 million in bonds it bought in July and sold in September. Nuveen bought $613 million in bonds since February for a total return, including price gains and interest payments, of about 25%. According to WSJ.

• Some  Chicago restaurants and restauranteurs will come together for a fundraiser on Thursday. Former Hot Doug owner Doug Sohn and the proprietors of Honey Butter fried Chicken are co-chairing “A Taste for Change in Chicago” to benefit the Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law’s work an organization that secures justice for people living in poverty. 

• Kirobo mini is a new product unveiled by Toyota and the doe-eyed robot is meant to be a companion baby for Japan’s childless population. It will be sold in Japan starting next year for about $392 and the robot reportedly has the intelligence of a 5 year old and can learn phrases.  

ENTERTAINMENT

• Last night/this morning, Kanye West abruptly cancelled his show at the Meadows festival in New York citing family emergency and that’s when it was revealed that his wife Kim Kardashian West who is in Paris for Paris Fashion Week was held at gunpoint and robbed of over $6million in jewelry(possibly those pictured above). Details are still leaking but its being reported that the masked gunmen dressed as police, threatened the concierge of the building she was staying in, tied her up and also stole her phone and some Euros. She’s on a private jet back to the states now. Her bodyguard was with sister Kourtney at a party at the time of the incident. She is physically unharmed but badly shaken up.  

• Solange dropped her new album “A Seat At The Table” on Friday and all productivity was lost as social media flooded with favorite tracks. Over the weekend she unveiled the videos for “Don’t Touch My Hair” and “Crane’s in the Sky” co-directed with her husband Alan Ferguson. Watch here.

FASHION

• Paris Fashion Week over the weekend saw presentations from Mugler with Karlie Kloss walking the show; Valentino with Pierpaolo Piccioli making his solo debut as creative director. Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci did not disappoint; Zayn and Gigi sat front row. Stella McCartney’s show Monday ended with a fun model finale. The other talk of PFW was Barbara Bush’s appearance, with bestie and instagram era Truman Capote, Derek Blasberg, at an Hillary Clinton fundraiser.
