NEVADA: The newbie to the Democrats 2020 presidential debate, Micheal Bloomberg, was the target of his fellow opponents at the Nevada debate Wednesday night. Elizabeth “the masticator” Warren chewed and spit Bloomberg up and was on the attack all night.  Bloomberg’s ‘stop-and-frisk’ policy while he was the mayor of New York City and the comments that followed were the subject of attack from other candidates.   • LOCAL/CHICAGO:  A couple was carjacked in an alley behind Latin School in Chicago’s Gold Coast Wednesday night and now authorities are searching for the suspects. 
  • NATIONAL:  The current US ambassador to Germany, Richard Grenell, has been named by president Trump as the country’s new acting director of national intelligence. Roger Stone, the Trump campaign adviser will be sentenced today. Ahead of the sentencing, U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson presiding over the case said Stone “engaged in intolerable “threatening and intimidating conduct” towards her. Stone was convicted of seven counts of lying to Congress, obstruction of justice and witness tampering. 
  • WORLD:  The soccer world was rocked with news that France’s biggest soccer club, Paris St-Germain’s president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, has been charged with “inciting” ex-FIFA Secretary General Jerome Valcke to accept bribes, including 1.25 million euros ($1.4 million) and access to a Sardinian villa. The charges were announced Thursday. Also in world news, a gunman attacked two shisha bars in Hanau, a city 25 miles east of Frankfurt, Germany, killing nine people. The suspected gunman may have shot himself and his mother.

  • J. Biebs is still on the promo tour of his new album, Changes. Bieber and Late Late Show host James Corden debuted the Yummy food truck where earnings from the sales were donated to the Los Angeles Regional food bank. 
  • Th Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, Demi Moore were spotted in attendance at GOOP’s Glow event where guests were apparently encouraged to come makeup free. Would you ever willingly attend a makeup free event?

  • Victoria Secret is reportedly nearing a deal where its parent company, L. Brands, will sell a controlling 55% stake to Sycamore Partners who will then take the company private and L. Brand founder Les Wexner will step down as chairman and CEO. The company is currently valued at $1.1 billion.
