Parkland. FL School Shooting. The tragedy some officials at the school predicted has come to pass and with it 17 people are dead, scores injured and another shooting claiming innocent lives. On Wednesday, students, and faculty were jolted by the sounds gunshots thinking it was another fire drill. 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz, who was expelled from the school in Parkland walked into the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Wednesday and opened fire on students and teachers. His weapon of choice? An AR-15-style rifle, which he allegedly purchased last year. He is expected in court today and faces 17 counts of premeditated murder. Apparently, the FBI missed out on an opportunity to intervene before the shooting, when a bail bondsman in Mississippi last year alerted the feds about an alarming online message Cruz wrote saying he was ‘going to be a professional school shooter.’ This is the second-deadliest shooting in a U.S. public elementary or high school after the 2012 massacre of 20 first-graders and six educators at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut….Read more

• Stormy Daniels is talking, or might/will talk according to her manager, this after Donald Trump’s personal attorney confirmed he indeed paid her a sum of $130k. Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford. believes that Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, invalidated a non-disclosure agreement after two news stories were published Tuesday: one in which Cohen told The New York Times he made the six-figure payment with his personal funds, and another in the Daily Beast, which reported that Cohen was shopping a book proposal that would touch on Daniels’ story. This as the Trump admin deals with the fact that a whole heap of White House officials lack permanent security clearance.
• In Chicago news: The man who shot and killed Chicago Police commander, Paul Bauer, is expected to appear in court today. Shomari Legghette, 44, a repeat felon, has been charged with murder, armed violence, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and drug possession. Carsons Ribs in River North is closing after 41 years but they are not going far. The restaurant will open a new flagship restaurant in River East, in the old Quay space. Surprise, surprise a high rise building is planned for the RN space. Kanye West’s Very Good Touring company has settled their $10 mil lawsuit against Lloyds of London over his canceled Saint Pablo tour. Financial terms of the settlement was not revealed only that the matter had been resolved “amicably.” The New Yorker has a piece on Mayor Emanuel and his fight against president Trump.
• Mitt Romney, the former Governor of Massachusetts and 2 time Presidential candidate will announce he is running for Utah senate seat. The announcement which was scheduled for today has been postponed due to the Florida school shooting news. Utah Republican Party chairman, Rob Anderson, is not a fan of this though.

• Flynn, a 6-year-old bichon frise from Plymouth Michigan won the 142nd Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Tuesday, Feb. 13. The new canine star is already making the rounds, showing up for a walk-on part at the Broadway musical “Kinky Boots.”
• New trailer for the upcoming Incredibles 2 movie debut during the Olympics Wednesday. According to EW, The new movie centers on Holly Hunter’s Helen (a.k.a. Elastigirl), as she finds herself in the middle of a “campaign to bring Supers back into the spotlight.” As for Bob (Craig T. Nelson), he’s at home, dealing with the dangers that come with caring for his three super-powered children: Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack. Did you know the film’s Writer-director Brad Bird is the voice of Edna Mode?! Incredibles 2 opens June 15.
FASHION
• Farfetch and Burberry are teaming up. British heritage fashion brand Burberry will utilize FarFetch’s e-commerce platform to make its merchandise available in more than 150 countries. Farfetch is also set to be interviewing banks to mull a stateside IPO. Opening Ceremony is skipping NYFW and will instead present its Spring 2018 collection at the Disneyland resort in Anaheim, Calif on March 7. No further details have been released at this time. Moncler has recruited 8 designers for its Moncler Genius, a new strategy collaboration “which celebrates their individual design approaches and interpretations of Moncler’s signature codes.” Pierpaolo Piccioli(Valentino), Simone Rocha, Craig Green, Kei Ninomiya (Noir), Sandro Mandrino, Karl Templer, Francesco Ragazzi, and Hiroshi Fujiwara (Fragment). The results of these new collaborations will be unveiled with the new Moncler Genius Building which will open on the first night of Milan Fashion Week next Tuesday. Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors presented their collections Wednesday.
