OUTCOME HEALTH.  What a turn of events a startup darling has taken in the span of less than a month. Chicago based healthcare advertising company Outcome Health is being sued by investors according to an early AM report from WSJ. On Monday we mentioned how their big ad clients were fleeing after inflated numbers allegations, well it seems there were other numbers being inflated at the startup that raised almost $500M in May and was literally the toast of the town with co-founder Rishi Shah being named as one of Forbes under 40 richest with a net worth of $3.6 billion (based on shares). MORE NEWS

Though in the Chicagoland area we didn’t have any voting but nationwide, the Dems swept on the anniversary of President Trump’s 2016 win and there were some historic wins in the mix. The most headline making is from Virginia where Democrat Danica Roem beat Republican Bob Marshall, a 13-term incumbent. The gag here is that Roem becomes the first openly transgender person elected and seated in a state legislature in the United States; Marshall had introduced a bill to restrict transgender people’s access to public restrooms. The election results also saw the first Sikh mayor of Hoboken, New Jersey, Ravi Bhalla and first African-American mayors in major cities.

In Chicago news: Former president Obama is reporting for Jury duty today at Daley Center. A journalist is accusing the Rev. Jesse Jackson of sexual harrassment.

Tech companies are making news today lets start with Twitter who is officially rolling out 280 characters worldwide up from 140.  Meanwhile Snapchat is trying to court “an older more global crowd, non-digital natives who weren’t born with high-speed wireless connections.” Umm sorry but once the adults get on a hot social media platform, the young ones flee. We’ll see how that strategy plays out. Lastly Facebook is trying to do its part to combat revenge porn.
