Gold Coast Neighbors Association, a non-profit organization serving the gold coast area of Chicago will hold their annual Evening on Astor Block Party Wednesday September 5 from 5:30pm-8:30pm, to cap off the summer season. GCNA’s block party which was most recently featured on Cori McFadden’s House of Consignment gathers the residents of the Gold coast area and friends for a lively night of fun. Evening on Astor has been put on for the past 30 years. Although the event is free, guests are encouraged to purchase tables where for 4 ($175) or 8 ($250) people. Make your table reservations HERE
This past spring, GCNA President Verne Broders along with GCNA BOD(Board of Directors) members Gabrielle Weisberg, Bradley Dineen, and Michelle Dietlzer Dermenjian, gathered with over 100 guests and neighbors at their spring event, Cocktails on the Coast, at the historic Fortnightly of Chicago. Guests in attendance included: Bryan and Julie Barrish, Irene Michaels, Tim and Mary Astor Smithe, James and Dawn O’Neal and so many others. The highlight of the night were the different auction items which culminated with the auction of about 60 different high end wines. The lot was won by Mr. James O’Neal so here’s hoping he will bring some of that to Evening on Astor to share.
