Last Thursday, October 8, during the slew of fashion activities around the city, guests joined Fashion Focus’ Tonya Gross, Virgin Hotels CEO Raul Leal, CFDA Executive Vice President Lisa Smilor, Petra Slinkard of Chicago History Museum, for a whimsical, fashion presentation featuring designers from the Chicago Fashion Incubator (CFI) inside The Commons Club at Virgin Hotels Chicago with music from Michaelangelo L’acqua.

Jade Sotomayor, member of the original cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race, kicked things off with an energetic dance performance followed by models walking down the “runway” in twenty looks made by ten current and past CFI designers before stopping atop the stage with a pole that was put to use by some aerobic pole dancers. Ten of the looks, were designed exclusively for Virgin Hotels Chicago.
