Coach debut their new Chicago Flagship with some of Chicago’s philanthropic gals and gentlemen on Tuesday August 21. To coincide with the launch of Coach’s Legacy Fall 2012 collection, Coach hosted an event where parts of the proceeds would benefit the Auxiliary Board of The Art Institute of Chicago. Hosted by Auxiliary Board 2012 President Dustin O’Regan, Jessica Humphry Muinzer and Toni Canada, guests and auxiliary board members took in the new format store and shopped for a good cause.
Some of the guests in attendance with the hosts included Sun Times Splash’s Susanna Negovan, Patrick Wood-Prince, Maria Ponce and Trey Berre of Artfully Disheveled, newly engaged Corri McFadden, Mary Anne Smith, Dusty Stemer, newlywed Heather Farley Ingram, Chicago Streetsyle’s Amy Creyer, Jena Gambaccini of ChiCityFashion, Jesper Lannung, Kate Mathews,Time Out Chicago’s Style editor Kevin Aeh, WCIU’s Melissa Forman, Rob Morhaim and Jeanne Sparrow. As guests mingled, several guests such as A Drink with Chicago’s Kelly Kane and Hillary Sawchuk were seen admiring the wide range of coach accessories. The Coach Chicago flagship now has an extensive men’s section which consists of bags, footwear and other leather accessories. I am really glad Coach has taken a departure from the ubiquitous C and went back to what really made consumers fall in love with their brand and products.
The best thing is that even though the legacy collection harkens back to the beloved archived coach, they’ve infused it with today’s trends of bright colors and fashionable styles. This Coach store, located at 625 N. Michigan Ave.,will definitely stay busy. All pictures here are by Barry Brecheisen, who’s one of my favorite Chicago photographers.
