Storied London luxury hotel Claridge’s, a 5-star royal favorite, is heading stateside and hosting a one week affair of its famed afternoon tea service at its sister hotel The Maybourne Beverly Hills.
Beginning Saturday April 23, through April 30, the 3rd floor garden terrace area of the Maybourne Beverly Hills open to the public will be transformed to a classic British with a Californian twist setting for afternoon tea that begins promptly at 2pm. The US and UK fusion menu will feature a selection of British and Californian-inspired savoury flavors like salmon and cucumber sandwiches alongside lobster and flour tortillas, paired with classic scones from Claridge’s with Marco Polo gelée and lemon and whipped ricotta scones and rhubarb jam from L.A favorite, Sqirl (no mouldy jam we hope). The centerpiece will be a curated selection of loose-leaf teas from around the globe with Laurent-Perrier champagne as a final flourish. A thoroughly British experience steeped in the splendor of Beverly Hills.
