The weekend is upon us and many of you are looking for a good time or at the least somewhere to go and have fun, maybe meet new people or cultivate a new hobby? FRIDAY

WHAT:: PINK PARTY AT THE ZOO

WHY:: Pink attire is strongly encouraged, but not required, for this evening at Lincoln Park Zoo. Guests can enjoy drinks while strolling through the zoo’s lush gardens and visiting a variety of habitats where nearly 200 animal species live. There will be pink decorations throughout the zoo, creating the perfect pink ambience!A live DJ gets the party going on Main Mall for those looking to dance the night away. Karaoke will be set up in Foreman Pavilion with mics and lights for those who want to create their own show. With no kids and no strollers, this event is for adults only. Take a break from your usual routine and do something different—think pink.

WHY::  This event is being hosted by one of the co-founders of the annual Bayou Boogie Viewing Party at Joe’s On Weed Street and Grambling State University Alum Donovan Smith. This event is intended to be a celebration of both HBCUs and the City of Chicago as a whole, with the added pleasure of serving as a kickoff to Chicago’s Spring and a prelude to Chicago’s Summer Season.
