The weekend is upon us and many of you are looking for a good time or at the least somewhere to go and have fun, maybe meet new people or cultivate a new hobby? WHY:: Explore West Town on the first Friday of every month, when our neighborhood galleries stay open until 8PM. Participating locations will vary month to month. We create a map each month including the participating locations and their programming details.

WHY:: Richard Marx is celebrating more than 35 years as a recording artist – his 38th as a professional songwriter. 1984’s “What About Me,” released as a trio by Kenny Rogers, Kim Carnes and James Ingram was co-written by Richard and became not only his first song recorded by an artist, but his first number one as a writer. WHY:: We invite you to L.E.G.A.C.Y. Awards Weekend 2024, a 3-day event, “Celebrating the Impact of Black Entrepreneurs.” The L.E.G.A.C.Y. Awards has become a meeting ground for aspiring and established entrepreneurs to network, collaborate and celebrate each other. This event is one of the top celebrations for Black Entrepreneurs in the City of Chicago, attracting over 1000 businesses annually, with an anticipated attendance of 1,500 entrepreneurs this year. The event features a Black Restaurant Showcase, Young Entrepreneur Contest, an Awards Gala and added this year a POWER Conference to support the growth of Black-Owned businesses.
