WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS. So this is what that feels like?! After 108 years, the boys in blue did the unthinkable winning the World Series after being down 3-1 in the series. Last night’s game was literally one for the books, FOR THE AGES. As the Cubs put scores up early, with Dexter Fowler’s HR in the 1st inning, the Indians fired back. “Old man” David Ross hit a homer in inning 6 *screams.* By inning 7 the lead we had was gone and we were tied, ugh Coco Crisp, Rajai Davis. Then Chapman pitched but you could tell his tank was nearing E. Then we went into extra innings and the guys dug deep; we were on top then tied then rain delay. Thank goodness for rain delay in the top of 10th inning. Players said Jason Heyward called a meeting got them fired up and HOLY COW by inning 10 the cubs scored 2 runs, Carl Edwards Jr pitched and the final play with Cleveland having one man on 1st base looked like it would keep the inning alive but no way no how, Cubs Win 8-7.
Last year (Nov. 2015) a report had the Cubs open as 10-to-1 favorites to win the 2016 World Series. Still cannot believe it, all the feels; What a time to be alive. Parade and celebrations details will be announced soon. We’ll update our Facebook page with details and free food offers for Cubs win…Read more
