The lack of diversity in major nominations for this years EE British Academy Film Awards aka BAFTAs which took place at the Royal Albert Hall in London, was one of the nights big topics with the Duke of Cambridge Prince William and BAFTA winner Joaquin Phoenix touching upon the issue. Though there were no brown/asian/non-caucasian faces dominating the nominations, we did spy some walking the red carpet for the awards ceremony. Though there were no reports of a vegan only or vegan friendly for menu at the BAFTA’s they did do their part to contribute to the continued conversation around sustainability by encouraging a dress code for celebs and all those others in attendance to rewear and recycle.
Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton adhered to the dress code wearing a McQueen dress she wore back in 2012. Overall, the looks on the best dressed celebs in attendance at the 2020 BAFTA awards were elegant, stunning, dazzling and in some instances like Jodie Smith Turner, breathtaking. Margot Robbie’s black Chanel dress at first didn’t really register until seeing a close up and the back details same was the case for Ella Balinska’s dress with a train that comes alive in movement not standing still; Zoe Kravitz continues to dazzle through awards season and she was a golden goddess in Saint Laurent. We love men that spice up suiting beyond the average black tuxedo and John Boyega and Taron Egerton got it right. Below are our picks for both ladies and gents for the 2020 BAFTA’s Best Dressed Celebrities Looks.
