Though it’s one of the best convergence of contemporary artists and gallerists in the US, #ABMB is most famous for its legendary parties, no, AH.MAZING parties. Partiers and rich folks alike all descend down Collins Ave, Ocean Drive, Wynwood and surrounding areas to add to their collection or dance to some tunes by awesome DJs. Miami Design District is what I call a mix of Oak Street meets Merchandise Mart. Boutiques and good places to eat. It’s across the bridge but worth the short commute.
Colette France will be setting up a pop up shop, art drive thru, at the Herzog & de Meuron parking structure where the Moncle Party was hosted last year HERE. Expect lots of items such as Rolex watch or a puzzle. Zaha Hadid, Daniel Arsham, Jose Parla, Toilet Paper, Kitsuné, Luis Morais, and Thom Browne are among the artists and brands that participate to the project. Star gazing too.
