Anthony Cristiano has been lauded for his great hair styling work that has taken him across several parts of the world, touched countless celebrites and models manes, and his work has graced the pages of your favourite glossies and advertising campaigns. On Monday night(Nov. 5), the hometown man was the mane(oh yea!) attraction as he was celebrated at the launch party for his namesake salon inside the Trump Hotel Chicago. You wouldn’t have guessed it was a Monday night with the amount of people that came to celebrate and toast a new chapter for Anthony Cristiano with his wife and muse Antonetta at his side greeting guests. The salon is definitely fancy, Rita of ChiTown Fashionista described it as swanky and I agree, but not in an off putting way but rather a serene opulence that can only be found within the Trump Tower. There is a certain elegance to the well lit, white chair open layout of the salon. I chatted with a couple of the Anthony Cristiano staff who seemed very down to earth, warm and inviting. When I arrived I ran into Amy Creyer of ChiStreetStyle and David Syrek of the Chicago Tribune. Walking in the first thing we saw was feathers, more precisely the ode to Isabella Blow by Todd Kempton (who is a superb colorist at Anthony Cristiano). Todd was wearing the Anna Dello Russo for H&M Black Fascinator Hat Bird oh so fabulousy.
Guests imbibed on champagne, wine and delectable hors d’oeuvres by J.L Catering. Some of the guests on the social scene that evening were: Josh and Ikram Goldman, J.P Anderson, Meg Mathis, Marissa Conrad, Jessica Moazami, Coco Meers, Mercedes Parra, Jill Dodds and Bal Nandra, Gabrielle Weisberg and many more.
