Last Friday overlooking LSD and the perfect Lake Michigan skyline, Dana Arbib Founder and Designer of A Peace Treaty held court at the WET Deck of W Chicago – Lakeshore. We all gathered to celebrate the launch of her brands’ collaboration, as part of the partnership between W Hotels and the CFDA {FASHION INCUBATOR} program with a “Room Service” seated brunch, just in time to kick off the lollapalooza 3 day music festival.

The luxurious, handmade silk robe designed exclusively for the W Hotels of Chicago was inspired by Chicago’s iconic, Bertrand Goldberg designed Marina Towers aka the corn-cob buildings. In attendance were Lolla performer Zebra Katz and DJ Dirty Finger, Shante Williams of A Peace Treaty, Nikia Jefferson (ChiTown Fashionista), Emma Arnold (Tres Awesome), Mel Muoio, Jamee Gidwitz (Rêve PR), Jessica Moazami (stylist | ADDICTIONS OF A FASHION JUNKIE), Hallie Wilson (Corals + Cognacs), Jessica Owens (J of All Sales), Jessica Sturdy (Bows & Sequins).

The limited-edition navy silk robe, screen-printed by hand, hand-sewn, is perfect for lounging around or if wearing over jean shorts and tee for a stylish outing (it’s got a non-traditional kimono-esque feel to it) and you can get your hands on one here before they are gone.
If you’re not familiar, CFDA the Council For Fashion Designers of America, is the fashion trade association which counts many of America’s foremost designers in womenswear, menswear and accessories as members. Last year, we covered the event where they brought several designers from their CFDA {FASHION INCUBATOR} program to the city and glad to see them continue to involve Chicago and hopefully they can help with the why Chicago’s fashion(design) community is so anemic.
