The Art Institute of Chicago announced the acquisition of an extraordinary memorial window, made by Tiffany Studios in 1917 and attributed to Agnes F. Northrop, the firm’s leading landscape window designer in her day. Originally commissioned for the Central Baptist Church (now known as Community Church of Providence) as the gift of Mary L. Hartwell in memory of her husband, Frederick W. Hartwell, the Tiffany window is a pinnacle achievement in the medium of stained glass.
The window measures 23′ high x 16′ feet wide, made up of 48 different panels for a  scene depicts a distant view of Mount Chocorua, one of the most beloved peaks of the White Mountains in New Hampshire; In its scale, intricacy of design, and complexity of glasswork, it is one of the largest and most ambitious landscape window projects ever undertaken by Tiffany Studios. The window  will be installed this fall in the Henry Crown Gallery at the top of the Woman’s Board Grand Staircase. Prominently installed in the Art Institute of Chicago’s galleries, “with the rich architectural history of Chicago as a stunning backdrop, this singular work will certainly inspire visitors and undoubtedly has the power to become one of the museum’s icons” says President and Eloise W. Martin Director of the Art Institute of Chicago James Rondeau. The window will welcome visitors as they begin their journey through the museum. [INBOX]

My skin tends to react very quickly to certain skin products especially thicker moisturizers but this Charlotte Tilbury brand Charlotte’s Magic Cream has been a skin saver and even a good primer when I want that dewy skin look. I’ve been using this for and its time to re-up. It reminds me of the thick Pond’s moisturizer mom used to use back in the day, in a good way.
