Glossier To Be Sold at Sephora Starting 2023

Do you remember how dreamy the Glossier Chicago pop-up in West Loop was? So good many hoped that it would become a permanent location; not just Chicagoans but many longtime fans of the digital first DTC beauty brand had clamored for their own permanent brick and mortar space. Glossier currently has five locations in the US (Los Angeles, Atlanta, Seattle, D.C, and Miami) and the sixth in London with plans for additional stores in Philadelphia and Brooklyn, New York, by the end of 2022 plus plans to open a flagship store in SoHo by 2023. If you live in a region where there isn’t a physical Glossier space and still want to be able to touch feel and try its product, come 2023 you’ll be able to do just that. According to a recent report from CNBC, customers will be able to find Glossier’s makeup products at LVMH-owned Sephora stores across the United States and Canada as well as on Sephora’s website starting in early 2023.

This will be Glossier’s first retail partnership in a push to expand its reach, as it is one of the most searched brands on Sephora’s website that’s not currently available at the LVMH-owned store. Recently, Glossier founder and chief executive officer (CEO) Emily Weiss stepped down and named its chief commercial officer Kyle Leahy, its new CEO. “Glossier’s struggles have persisted under Weiss, who founded the business in 2014 and gained a cult-like following among millennial and Gen Z women. In January, just six months after Glossier raised $80 million in fresh funding, it laid off dozens of corporate staff members.”
In a statement, Leahy said making Glossier products available through another retailer “marks a new chapter” for the company.
