The scoop: Martell Cognac launched their latest innovation, Blue Swift, with an interactive journey steeped in curiosity and innovation in Chicago’s West Loop (Ovation). The evening of elaborate cuisine, music and art, featured bites from NYC Ghetto Gastro and music from France’s DJ Just Dizle, whose eclectic playlist(everything from American hip-hop to Brit to African he played) had guests on the dance floor.

The scoop: The Chicago Loop Alliance (CLA) Foundation welcomed more than 450 guests for Illumination 2016, its 12th annual gala. The event grossed more than $213,000 in support of the Foundation, a 501(c)(3) corporation that develops, supports and promotes artistic, cultural and public events that benefit businesses, individuals and stakeholders within the Loop. CLA Board Chairman David Broz presented the CLA Foundation’s 2016 Illumination Award to Melvin L. Katten of Katten Munchen Rosenman, LLP in honor of his selfless civic service, commitment to the Loop and continued support of CLA programming.

Event: Brooks Brothers Hosts Charitable Event ForNorthwestern Memorial Women’s Board

The scoop: More than 65 guests gathered at Brooks Brothers’ Michigan Avenue location to celebrate the arrival of the label’s fall women’s collection, designed by Brooks Brothers creative director Zac Posen. Hosted by Woman’s Board members Jennifer Dunne, Stuart Mesires and Woman’s Board President, Joan Moore, the event generated $5,000 donation to the Northwestern Memorial Patient and Family Assistance Fund.
