Through SociaLifeChicago’s adventures running around the city, we’ve had the great opportunity of meeting some amazing people doing great things, places worth checking out and things of note. A lot of times, these people are someone’s insider secret or on the cusp of greatness. It’s only right to share them and what makes them awesome, fun, unique and someone “you ought to know.”

In our ongoing series spotlighting the people, places and things we here at SociaLifeChicago think “You Ought to Know” we would like to present Joy Bivins. Joy Bivins is the curator at the Chicago History Museum and has been working on the upcoming 50 Years of Ebony Fashion Fair: Inspiring Beauty exhibit that will open to the public March 16. Joy lets us in on what made this exhibit come about as well as a few fun facts about herself and the exhibit. Ladies and Gentlemen, we present Joy Bivins-Curator Chicago History Museum

The 50 Years of Ebony Fashion Fair: Inspiring Beauty exhibit rund from March 16-January 4, 2014
