I think so far I’ve covered and reported back to you some of the great events happening in the city and beyond. Moving forward I will include suggested events for you to attend. Some of these might be free some may require you to RSVP and some will have a ticket charge. I am sharing them with you because they piqued my interest and based on information provided you will have a good time though I can’t guarantee that. So bring out your calendars mark these dates down, get out your card and buy those tickets and I’ll see you on the scene!
DECADES RETURNS TO CHICAGO
Decades is coming back to the Windy City at Space519

The trunk show will be open to the general public on Saturday, October 6 from 10am to 7pm and on Sunday, October 7 from 12pm to 6pm.
Space519 is located within the 900 Shops at 900 N. Michigan Ave.
HooDoo Love at Anthenaeum Theatre
The play written by Katori Hall, directed by Nelsan Ellis(Lafayette on True Blood) presented by The Collective Theatre founded by 6 Chicagoans (Francois Battiste, Metra Gilliard, Jasond Jones, Nelsan Ellis, Veronda Carey, Le’Mil Eiland).
Great way to support the arts and Chicago. The play centers around main character Toulou who escapes the Mississippi cotton fields in the 1930s to pursue her dream of singing the blues in Memphis. It’s a tale of love, magic, jealousy and secrets. Its playing at the Anthenaeum on2936 N. Southport, intimate setting, powerful play and a sexy lead actor in Laroyce Watkins.

FRAN LEBOWITZ AT HARRIS THEATRE
Some of you may have seen her Martin Scorcese directed HBO documentary(if you haven’t you MUST!). The woman who has been called “the natural successor to Dorothy Parker” by British Vogue will be in Chicago next week. Def can’t miss
