Oh great Valentine’s day!
Right, where was I? Yes, Valentine’s day aka valentimes day aka who really gives a rats a$$. Bitter much? yes I am, but I’m just kidding really.
I get it when you’re in love/like/lust you are validated by having one special day set aside for you to celebrate it, great for you.
It isn’t that I don’t like Valentine’s day or being single on Valentine’s day, trust me I’ve had many a single vday(wait I’m not sure if that’s sad or normal), it’s just the big deal made over one hallmark holiday. Would it be nice to wake up next to a gorgeous flower arrangement? sure, but not just only on valentine day.
I’ll be honest it doesn’t suck as bad as I make it seem. The thought of picking out a gift, making plans and somehow making sure your partner enjoys the day is more work than I can handle on my plate right now. Valentine’s for me will be about the one’s I love, my great family and friends. I hope you single singletons like myself out there get to enjoy this day; Get that bottle of Jordan wine just because, you deserve it . Pick up a bottle of champagne or procesecco because its Thursday and Friday will be here before you know it. Go ahead and lavish on yourself because really the one person that should love you the most is well, you(yes I am heeding this myself).
