Ahead of their tight lipped $1 million wedding, Serena Williams and fiance Alexis Ohanian hosted guests at Emeril Lagasse’s Emeril restaurant in New Orleans for their wedding rehearsal and some of the guests were spotted clutching a peculiar pouch. Guests were holding Yondr pouches. Yondr is a company that provide artists, organizations and individuals the tools to create phone-free events and spaces. You’ll remember Dave Chappelle partnered with the startup when he went back on tour.
Since rumors have surfaced that Serena has given the exclusive of the wedding to Vogue, she would not want to risk having any images of the affair appearing on social media. The wedding, being planned by celebrity event planner Preston Bailey, is taking place Thursday November 16 at The Contemporary Art Center in New Orleans.
