The Woman’s Board of Rush University Medical Center introduced a new fundraiser this fall, GLOW, symbolizing when people are healthy, both mentally and physically, they glow. The event which took place November 3 welcoming nearly 400 guests to the Art Institute of Chicago’s Grffin Court in the Modern Wing was chaired by Pamela Fitzgerald.

In years past, the woman’s board hosted the annual fashion show in the fall featuring a mix of chi-lebrities, media personalities and upper crust north shore and chicagoland area residents. This year they decided to celebrate the Board’s 133-year history of making a difference in the community by switching things up by going hosting the cocktail reception and dinner. Following dinner, guests toured the gallery featuring the European Modern Collections and enjoyed dancing late into the evening to music spun by DJ Madrid.

The event helped raise $450,000 which will go towards developing and implementing Rush’s School-Based Mental Health Program; an initiative that will provide mental health screenings and treatments for children, as well as a support network for families, front-line community members and first responders.
