Chicago is known for many things two of them being its great food culture and of course art. So when art forward chefs and visual artist photographer Paul Octavious collaborate for a multi-course meal during pride month, the result is Eating Rainbows: An Eye Eaters Society Dinner Celebrating Pride.
The dinner, part of Eye Eaters Society not so secret roaming dinner party which pairs a chef and artist(s) for dinner series in celebration of food and art, was hosted at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago (MCA). Guests in attendance to Eating Rainbows: An Eye Eaters Society Dinner Celebrating Pride, a collaboration between Slow Down Co and visual artist Paul Octavious, were treated to a four-course experiential dinner “in the clouds” inspired by colors of the rainbow as interpreted by queer artists and Marisol’s James Beard nominated chef Sarah Rinkavage as well as pastry chef Bobby Schaffer of Lost Larson and bartender Alexandra Wright of X, spotlighting LGBTQIA artists to benefit Center on Halsted. Lucy Stoole and Darling Shear performed.
