When the Park Hyatt Brand collaborates with Bottega Veneta, both brands known for their understated luxury, the result is a magnificent, luxurious suite with a breathtaking view of Chicago. In the June/July ’12 Town and Country Magazine (the Summer Camp issue), they profiled the first look(a sneak peek of sorts) of this collaboration and last night we were invited to take in the full experience.
Town and Country Magazine hosted a reception to celebrate the Lake Suite Bottega Veneta at the Park Hyatt Chicago with the Women’s Board of the Art Institute of Chicago last night(9/18). The suite which starts at $4,500/night combines the luxury and attention to detail both brands are known for. From the lamp woven in the intrecciato technique Bottega is known for and the same process as the Bottega Veneta woven bags down to the rug on the floor. Each area of the room was accented with these gorgeous dark purple blackstar calla lillies by Mike Hines Signature.
Walking into the bedroom you are greeted by the clear view overlooking the city into Lake Michigan, then your eyes land on the gorgeous bed decorated with Bottega Veneta pillows(again the details are exquisite) the headboard alone makes you want to lay in the bed all day. The intricacy and detailed pattern of the headboard alone will spur a lot of DIY-ers trying to replicate this, its so gorgeous.
The bathroom has a sliding door that allows you to go from a luxurious soak and jump right into bed or just soak in the tub and watch tv.
In terms of brand collaboration this was definitely a brilliant one and I’m sure guests staying will enjoy every minute of it. Guests at the reception included representatives from Bottega Veneta, Town and Country magazine, The Women’s Board and Auxiliary Board of the Art Institute,Park Hyatt as well as Sherren Leigh of Today’s Chicago Woman, J.P Anderson EIC of Michigan Avenue Magazine,Graham Kostic of Glossed & Found whom I finally formally met after being at numerous events together, Jena Gambaccini of ChiCityFashion, Jeff Schear of Jeff Schear Visuals. Walter Brindell-General Manager of Park Hyatt Chicago, Lynne Bredfeldt-Dir. Public Relations and their team did a great job!
