Saturday evening, on 2 lots of the largest film studio outside of Hollywood, Chicago’s healthcare and philanthropy community gathered to celebrate an End of Summer Soiree. Sinai Health System hosted over 200 members of the community for an evening lively entertainment
a strolling buffet by Hat Trick Caterers
and silent auction items that included movie set chairs signed by Oprah Winfrey, Bill Cosby and many other items.
As guests entered the expansive Cinespace Studios lot, they were greeted by cheerful Sinai staff members. Following a brief entertainment by the live band and dancers, the evening’s emcee Ericka Pino of Univision Chicago welcomed guests and thanked them for their support before introducing Sinai Health Board of Director chairman Gary J. Niederpruem. Sinai Health Systems President and CEO Karen Teitelbaum showered praise unto the sponsors and attendees of the event and especially to Alex Pissios who donated the use of Cinespace, and Harry and Sue Seigle. Last year the Seigle’s donated $4 million to the west side health system to create the Seigle Outpatient Center.
We even spotted Chicago Fire actor Eamonn Walker who plays Chief Wallace Boden(who insisted I take the photo with him), Actress Regina Taylor, Chicagoland star and Fenger Academy High School Principal Elizabeth Dozier, to name a few, in attendance.
Guests took over the dance floor as the live band alternated from slow jams to the wobble. A fun night had by all.
The proceeds from End of Summer Soiree benefits Sinai Health System’s wellness outreach programs, improving the health of the individuals and communities it serves on the west and southwest sides of Chicago.
