WHOA, lets all give September a slow clap. How, or perhaps why, is the year moving so fast?! Here we are another month closer to reaching our 2013 goals in business speak, fourth quarter. I am actually glad September is here. When I was younger September signaled a lot of new beginnings with the start of a new school year. Then off to college and I was lucky to go to a quarter system school but I was the last of my friends to depart for school which sucked freshman year of college because everyone else began their experience one month earlier. Now i’m an adult and September might as well be February, March July, or any other of month.
Last month I talked about consistency, did I adhere to it as I set out to? Kinda sorta but I made every effort and on some things I succeeded and some could have been better but that’s all part of the experience.
As we all begin to start anew whether we’re starting grad school, sending kids off to school or refreshing our wardrobe for the upcoming change in weather, let’s take it all in. Though we are not necessarily starting anew in SociaLifeChicago we are adding new things that I am excited to share in due time. Speaking of new, theres a new spot that I’ve been raving about JIMMY. It’s the old J-Bar but now it’s been redone and there’s a bacon bar before you enter(AH.MAZING). As SociaLifeChicago grows, I owe much of that to the many people that have supported, became early adopters and continue to help. I am grateful for their compassion, the time each individual takes to read, listen and offer constructive advice. Because no man is an island I am grateful for the team that helps to bring to life the content to read and pictures you see: Bisola, Briana, Ornella, James, Tina. I am most grateful for my family because they’ve been so amazing and supportive to me through this journey. We will continue to bring you more and we are working on some great original content. As always constructive feedback both positive and negative is always welcome, we all grow by learning.
Are you doing anything to start anew this September?
