With over 300 guests donning everything from lavish to tame masks, arrived for an evening veiled in elegance the night of February 25 to celebrate the Junior League of Chicago’s annual gala, in line with this year’e theme “A Masquerade Ball 2017.” With the dress code calling for black tie, we saw scene making sequined dresses, embellished ball gowns, tuxedo’s, jumpsuits and more all topped off with statements masks and accessories.

NBC 5 anchor Lauren Petty was on hand to lead the paddle raise auction while guests dined on amazing cuisines from Blue Plate catering and signature cocktails from Titos.

When guests were not mingling or trying to make sure their bids won in the silent auction, they took to the dance floor and high heels be damned for the ladies because presenting sponsor Mercedes provided guests with comfy slippers to slip into and keep going through the night; what a great touch! Proceeds from The Junior League of Chicago’s annual gala Masquerade Ball 2017 benefits the organization’s signature community programs, impacting women and at-risk children in the Chicago area.
