The James Beard Foundation’s Taste America culinary series Presented by Capital One, will make its Chicago stop on March 5. A specially curated three-course brunch, complete with dishes from three incredible chefs, will feature an 1800 Cristalino Tequila welcome cocktail, and expert wine pairings from the team at Mariano’s. The collaborative JBF Taste America Chicago brunch – and event part of this year’s culinary series featuring the James Beard Foundation’s TasteTwenty lineup of chefs from across the nation – will take place on Sunday, March 5th at Peach’s Restaurant (4652 S. King Drive). TasteTwenty Chef Lamar Moore hosts alongside Chef Cliff Rome who is offering up his restaurant and his talents for the occasion. Visiting TasteTwenty Chef Chutatip ‘Nok’ Suntaranon of Philadelphia’s acclaimed Kalaya rounds out the all-star lineup.
Now in its 10th year, Taste America is taking on expanded shape with the TasteTwenty—a group of 20 chef teams from 20 cities across the country working together and championing the James Beard Foundation’s mission of Good Food for Good®. The series highlights the richness and diversity of local food culture in cities across America, while spotlighting chefs who are uniquely aligned to the Foundation’s mission. In addition, to celebrate national community, host and visiting chefs will be paired together for a chance to innovate and collaborate across different cities.
Tickets are available for $300 per pair for two seatings (10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.), with tables of two, four, and six available for purchase.
