“I was so fortunate to be able to start with a £3,000 loan, but not everyone has that luxury, so this year for International Women’s Day, I’m looking to give a cash injection to 3 women owned companies or start ups who I feel deserve it the most.”
When you have a great business idea or even starting a business, and you have passion the other thing needed to get traction is capital, cash money. If you’re not well connected or well saved up shoring up funds to keep your business running especially in those crucial building months can be stressful.
Now an entrepreneur that’s gone through the process is looking to help female founders in honor of #InternationalWomensDay and Women’s History Month. Conna Walker, founder of highly popular fashion brand House of CB and recent Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, launched a contest for current and future women business owners to receive cash injections for their businesses. #CBWomen4Women will award women owned start ups + companies free cash injections (£2k, £5k, £10k) up to $13,000 to help their businesses.
To apply click here and post a new Social Media post with #CBWomen4Women. Applicants’ business plans will be reviewed by Walker. There will be three cash injection prizes: $2,600 for third place, $6,500 for second place, and $13,000 for first place. Entrants do not have to be in a specific industry or possess a certain company value. The company can be new, old or a company in infancy. Deadline is March 30. Winners will be announced March 31, 2019. The contest is open internationally.
